2007 Hunting Rates and Information

***Note: This information is subject to change and will serve as a general guidline only regarding our hunts. We have several hunting and pricing options available from most of our camps, and our flexibility means we have a hunt that will work for you. Please contact us and we will be glad to discuss the exact details of each hunt, or we can put together a custom hunt for you. All prices are per person and do not include licenses or taxes (4%). Please be aware that all Unit 66 licenses are by draw only. Our hunts in Unit 64/65 have over the counter bull elk licenses for archery hunts, as well as 2nd and 3rd rifle. Independence Gulch Hunts

Hunt Type: Trophy GMU 66 Drop Camp Semi Guided Hunt Fully Guided Hunt

Mill Creek Hunts

National Forest: (Rambouillet Park, Brush Creek, Mesa Seco, South Cannibal Park) $1800 per person ($2000 per person with food limited to one pack horse load)archery/muzzleloader hunts and first rifle season (October 13-17) only. Not Available. Not Available.
Powderhorn Primitive Wilderness: (Devils Canyon, Infierno Canyon, Hitchin Rack, Bear Park, Calf Creek Plateau) $2100 per person with food (archery/muzzleloader hunts and first rifle season (October 13-17) only) $2500 to $3000 per person, includes guide and meals. Options available including staying in the Main Camp or packing in to remote camps. We will custom fit this to your party. Minimum number of hunters required for pack-in hunts. $3800 from Main Camp or $4000 from wilderness camp. 1X1 hunts available. We can custom fit these guided hunts using either horses, accessing areas on foot or by vehicle. Let us know what you want to do and we can make it work!

 

Trophy Mule Deer GMU 66 Drop Camp Semi Guided Hunt Fully Guided Hunt

Trophy Mule Deer Hunts: Unit 66

We offer guided trophy mule deer hunts in Unit 66. You will see plenty of mule deer and hopefully have the opportunity to harvest a trophy 160" to 180" deer, perhaps bigger. Hunts will be from horse or 4WD depending on the weather and where we are seeing the big bucks. Not available Not available $4500 per person includes lodging and meals. This is a five day hunt offered during second and third rifle seasons.

Unit 65 Uncompahgre National Forest and BLM: Pack-in horse hunts

Archery (August 25 to September 23) Elk licenses available over the counter. All deer licenses by draw only. $1700 per person. $2000 with food package. $2500-$3000 with additional options and guide days possible. $3800 2X1 fully guided hunt. 1X1 available at $4800 per hunter.

Hunt Type Unit 65 Drop Camp Semi Guided Hunt Fully Guided Hunt

Unit 65 4X4 Guided Lodge Hunts: Private Land, National Forest and BLM

Here we use the comfortable Little Big Horn Lodge as a base camp and hunt the surrounding National Forest, BLM and some private land. All hunts are guided only and include all meals and accommodations. The guide to hunter ratio will vary from 2X1 to 5X1 depending on the location to be hunted and the size of your party. These are highly successful hunts with a historical kill success of approximately 80% on bull elk. Unit 65 December/January Guided Cow Elk Hunts

We conduct our 3 day December and January cow hunts from the lodge. This is a highly successful hunt with kill success rates of 90-100%. Guided hunts only with everything included except your license and transportation to the lodge. Licenses must be drawn but can be had with zero preference points. not available not available $1200 per person/fully guided hunt.

Miscellaneous Fees

4% Federal User Fee and County Tax Applied to all packages.

$200 per person required to reserve your hunt, non-refundable. This $200 is a separate fee if reservation is held over 12 months. If hunt is within 12 months of booking, the $200 is applied to the first deposit.
50% Deposit required on all hunts due by March 15, 2007

*If born after January 1, 1949 you MUST have a hunter safety card.
*GMU 65 bull elk licenses purchased over the counter for archery and 2nd/3rd rifle.

Elk must have 4 points or better on one antler, or a 5 inch brow line

No antler point restriction on mule deer. Minimum antler length is 5 inches
