These are our most popular high country hunts. We can take you out on horseback, foot and to a limited degree by 4x4. The accommodations depend on what you would like to do and how you want to hunt. Our guides are seasoned and know the country and the habits of the wildlife. You can depend on them for advice and experience. Guide ratio is normally 2:1 unless your party is an odd number of people. For example, 2 hunters - 1 guide; 3 hunters - 1 guide; 4 hunters - 2 guides. Accommodations are identical for the semi and fully guided high country hunt packages (GMU 66 & 65). With our lower country fully guided hunts (GMU 65 & 64), you have an option of staying in cabins and traveling out each morning to the hunting area either by horse or 4x4. We also have full service hunt packages which are a little different guided hunt packages. These are similar to a semi-guided hunt.

• High Country Guided Hunts
       These hunts are done primarily on horseback. We pack you into our remote hunting areas and spend five full days of hunting. Plan on arriving the day before opening morning. Everything you will need to be comfortable in the wilderness will be provided for you. You will need to provide your own bedroll, personal items, hunting and fishing licenses. Each person is limited to 75 lbs. of gear. Keep in mind that we pack in on horses. You will be living in a fully equipped canvas tent with plenty of good food and a cook. Horses are left in camp if necessary. Hunting out of base camp is an option if snow reaches high levels.

   The difference between semi and fully guided hunts is the amount of assistance you require from your guide.

• Semi Guided Hunt
       This hunt allows you to proceed on your own without assistance once the game has been spotted. This is a good package for those who are not suited to do a lot of walking in the high elevations but are capable of tracking and caring for their game once they have killed something. You and a guide will leave camp every morning and you will be set up on an area where the guide feels you will have the greatest chance for success. Your guide will leave you on your own once you are comfortable with the situation and you will have the option of hunting back to camp on your own, or being picked up in the evening and returning to camp. Lunches will be provided during the day. Meat can be transported to cold storage in either Montrose or Gunnison (depending on your hunt location) at no extra charge to you. Storage or processing will be an additional cost to you through the processor. We will provide refrigeration if necessary
   
• Fully Guided Hunt
       This hunt is our top of the line guided hunting package. This hunt can be done in all of our game management units. You will leave camp each morning and your guide will be with you the entire duration of your hunt. Basically, all you do with this package is aim and pull your own trigger! You are provided with the services of cleaning, skinning and quartering your game. Meat can be transported to cold storage in either Montrose or Gunnison (depending on your hunt location) at no extra charge to you. Storage or processing will be an additional cost to you through the processor. We will provide refrigeration if necessary.
